About me and my practice
How I view and approach therapy
I believe that therapeutic change is experiential—it’s not just about talking, but about engaging the whole self in the healing process. I use imagery and metaphor to help clients integrate psychoeducation, which I view as the starting point of healing. Education is the first step in prevention, offering clients the tools to understand themselves and their patterns in a deeper, more empowered way.
Therapy, to me, is like going to the gym. It requires endurance, stamina, structured goals, and a willingness to embrace challenges. Just as physical training builds strength over time, emotional and psychological growth demands consistency, effort, and a belief in the possibility of change. There is value in growth, even when the process is difficult.
I work from a person-centered, collaborative, and systemic lens, meaning I see each client within the context of their relationships, environments, and lived experiences. I believe people are doing the best they can with what they’ve learned so far, and therapy offers a space to explore, unlearn, and grow. My approach is grounded in a gentle balance of kindness and directness, creating a sacred space where authenticity is welcomed and clients feel truly seen and heard.
I incorporate experimental and experiential-based interventions to ensure therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model. These approaches help clients apply their therapeutic work outside the therapy room, making healing more practical and sustainable. I also honor the truth that healing is not linear and doesn’t follow a timeline—each journey is unique, and progress unfolds in its own rhythm.
As a virtual provider, I offer therapy exclusively through secure online sessions. This format provides flexibility, accessibility, and comfort, allowing clients within Minnesota to engage in meaningful therapeutic work from the privacy of their own space. It’s especially supportive for those with busy schedules, mobility challenges, or who simply feel more at ease in familiar surroundings. I work solely with individuals, not couples or families, ensuring a focused and personalized therapeutic experience tailored to each client's unique needs.
To support this process, I draw from a variety of treatment modalities, including DARe (Dynamic Attachment Repatterning), EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness-based practices. These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs—whether they’re working through trauma, attachment wounds, relational challenges, or emotional overwhelm. I take a holistic interest in the behavioral, emotional, spiritual, and relational aspects of life, and I see it as a true privilege to walk alongside adult women navigating these complexities.
In our initial sessions, we’ll explore the concerns that brought you to therapy and begin to co-create a plan that honors your story and supports your goals. My hope is that you’ll feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout our work together—no matter where you’re joining from.
Who I am outside of work
Outside of the therapy room, I’m someone who finds joy in the simple and creative parts of life. I love spending time in nature—whether it’s a quiet walk through the woods or a weekend getaway to explore somewhere new. Travel inspires me, not just for the adventure, but for the perspective it brings and the stories it uncovers.
I’m also a big fan of all things cozy and creative. You’ll often find me thrifting for unique treasures, crafting something by hand, or rearranging a space to make it feel just right. Interior decorating is one of my favorite ways to express creativity and bring warmth into everyday life. I’m a regular at local coffee shops, where I enjoy good conversation, quiet reflection, and the occasional latte with a friend.
At home, I’m surrounded by the love of my family, including my Australian Shepherd, who all remind me daily of the importance of presence and play. These parts of my life deeply influence how I show up in therapy - grounded, curious, and always looking for the beauty in the process.
